Four buildings in the style dating back to the 4th century AD were reconstructed in the Roman City Quarter: the House of Lucius belonging to a member of the middle class, the posh villa urbana, Roman baths and the domus quarta harbouring the only preserved floor mosaic of Carnuntum.

Carnuntum's larger amphitheatre is only a 10 minute walk away from the Roman City Quarter.

The practice arena of the gladiator school reconstructed in 2014 is just a 10 minute walk away from the Roman City Quarter. It is located directly next to the Civilian City's Amphitheatre.

The Heidentor (Heathens' Gate) is Carnuntum's emblem and about 20 min. away on foot from the Roman City Quarter.

Inaugurated in 1904, Carnuntum's treasury in Bad Deutsch-Altenburg is the Roman City's oldest museum location.
