The sacred area on top of the Pfaffenberg, located east of Carnuntum, was dedicated to Jupiter Optimus Maximus. Several smaller temples, a congregation venue, numerous columns and monuments could be found here. On a clear day, this site offers an excellent view over to the Vienna hills.
